Two Years Ago This Month

PDA met in Western Massachusetts to make history.

We did 3 big things that weekend: (1) We marked the 10th anniversary of PDA;
(2) We celebrated the life of the great Tim Carpenter, our founder, who had passed on much too early only a few days before. But not until he made sure that Senator Sanders would attend our 10-year convention, by making repeated calls to Bernie’s team from his hospital bed;
(3) We publicly launched the “Run, Bernie, Run!” campaign to draft Bernie Sanders to run for President as a Democrat, the very first national organization to do so!

We Did The Math: Bernie Can Win!

We aren't giving up and neither should you. Although the media won't tell you this, Bernie's campaign is going strong.

When Progressive Democrats of America (PDA) launched our Run Bernie Run campaign in 2013, we expected big things. Even we have been surprised by the incredible progress we've already achieved.

None of this would've happened without all of us working together. Please contribute $5 or whatever you can now to keep us organizing and mobilizing!

New York Results and the Work Goes On!

Today, New York State voted. Unfortunately, arcane eligibility rules and rampant irregularities marred this primary, called tonight for Clinton. These factors apparently stacked the deck, creating grave concerns. Disenfranchised Democrats filed lawsuits earlier this week, and we will keep a close eye on those proceedings. Tonight's troubled results only confirm that a substantial number of Democrats—as well as countless independents and others—reject the status quo. That is good news, no matter how the votes came out tonight.

A Special Message from Jim Hightower

With our help, Bernie has won six primaries and caucuses in a row, going into Wyoming Saturday, where we expect to do very well. While we're celebrating shared success, we understand this is much bigger than Bernie as a candidate or even this presidential campaign.

Where Do We Go From Here?

We just had to share this message from our friend Rep. Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii:

"A little more than a week ago, we celebrated in Hawaii as Bernie supporters turned out in large numbers throughout the islands for the presidential preference poll. It was a great victory for Bernie and for all of us. I also want to thank Progressive Democrats of America and your executive director, Donna Smith, for their work in Hawaii and nationwide to get out the vote and turn Bernie supporters into Bernie voters."

~ Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, D-HI02
