With your help, PDA will step up and stand with our brothers and sisters in the immigrants' rights movement. We will examine immigrants' rights legislation and hear from special guest speakers such as Marice' Morales, representing Maryland's 19th district in the House of Delegates, who will talk about the need for proposed legislation to protect immigrants' rights; a spokesperson from the National Council of La Raza, a leading Latino advocacy organization, to help evaluate current legislation and answer questions; and PDA founding board member, Joel Segal, currently working with the JAMN Network and a former legislative aide to Rep. John Conyers, who will discuss key immigration legislation, and how backing it will help PDA build a diverse and powerful progressive movement.
