His electrifying, historic speech last night to over 200,000 supporters highlighted all the reasons we did so, and reconfirmed why we continue supporting him. Right now, PDA is with our sisters and brothers of National Nurses United and thousands of other Bernie supporters at the People's Summit in Chicago.

Some of our friends and allies have endorsed Secretary Hillary Clinton. Some of them had initially endorsed Bernie. In the coming days others will follow suit. Individual members of Congress, movement leaders and organizations will do what they believe they need to do. That's their choice. But PDA was Bernie from the beginning, and PDA is with Bernie all the way.

We call upon all progressives to consider a few things. First of all, this campaign was never all about Bernie Sanders. As Bernie always says, this is about us! Second, we suggest that friends and allies can agree about our goals yet disagree about methods and tactics. Frustration is understandable. Over the top bashing of friends on social media is counterproductive.

As progressives, we are known for our heated discussions and also for our fundamental respect for differences of opinion. All of us have our rights to our views. Rather than trying to police each other's tone or tactics, let's spend our energy organizing for Bernie's issues. Let's please call a ceasefire and avoid holding our proverbial circular firing squad.

Beyond the Convention, and into the November election as well as afterward we will continue the long term work of building the political and organizational structures that will sustain the political revolution. In the coming months, we will continue building our strong and growing movement. We will continue working unite activists. We will continue helping Progressive candidates win House and Senate races.

We will continue rallying in answer to Bernie's call for his supporters to run for state and local offices, building the long term Bernie movement from the grassroots up.
