A few days ago, we warned you that powerful right wing interests were planning to attack our friend Representative Keith Ellison. It's happening, and it's even worse than we'd feared. Sen. Ted Cruz orchestrated an Islamaphobic attack on Keith at an official Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Oversight hearing. Please give $500, $50, $5 or whatever you can now to help Keith Ellison fend off these attacks.

According to the Huffington Post, an "undercover agitator" named Chris Gaubatz alleged that Keith "attended...a 2008 convention hosted by the Islamic Society of North America...which Gaubatz claims is a front for the Muslim Brotherhood." Keith did attend the convention, but ISNA has no ties to the Muslim Brotherhood.

PDA's own Executive Director Donna Smith moderated a wonderful panel featuring Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, Cook County Commissioner Jesus "Chuy" Garcia, and former Ohio State Senator Nina Turner. Literally minutes after appearing in the photo below, Donna spoke on another panel with single payer Medicare for All hero Dr. Paul Song. It was that kind of summit, with several great events back to back–or happening simultaneously.
