Next week is "Cyber Monday," featuring discounts on gifts. PDA has our own version we call "Blue Monday." See below for a sneak preview. Reminder: Tomorrow we have an exclusive call with a progressive Louisiana U.S. Senate candidate. See below for more details. Today, our National Advisory Board Member Rep. Jim McGovern is walking 43 miles "from Springfield to Northampton to Greenfield–to raise awareness about hunger in our community and to raise funds for The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts." See below for more details.
Important Progressive Updates: As Thanksgiving approaches,
Progressive Democrats of America (PDA) keeps working for you.
Beat the post-election blues with our Blue Monday offerings.
Check out the deals online, and come back regularly to see new items and new discounts. Blue Monday is not a time for laments; it's a time to proclaim our support for diversity, our commitment to progress, and our opposition war, racism, and oligarchy.
PDA has broadened our holiday gift offerings to help promote your activism for health care as a human right and clean energy, as well as ending corporate rule and getting money out of politics. Tell the world that you're an empowered member of the political revolution, and show off your progressive pride.
Give holiday gifts that support and advance your principles with issue-oriented buttons and bumper stickers. Engage in fun, subversive money-stamping with self-inking stamps from The Stamp Stampede! We shall overcome!
Reminder: Senate Candidate to speak with PDAers.
Hear from Foster Campbell, an elected public servant in Louisiana for years who stands with the 99% all the way. He made it to a run-off election, and he's taking time out of his busy campaign schedule to speak with you!
Call in to hear Foster Campbell discuss his efforts:
Tuesday, Nov. 22 9pm ET, 8pm CT, 7pm MT, 6pm PT
Dial-in Number: (712) 775-7035 / Access Code: 124469#
Please RSVP to Mike Fox and add any questions you have for Foster. Can't make the call, but want to help? contact me to make important movement-building calls from your home and / or toss a few (thousand) pennies in the tip jar.
Rep. Jim McGovern Won't Stand for Hunger: He'll Walk 43 Miles To End It.
Jim's commitment to ending hunger is powerful and inspiring. When the Congress was poised to slash nutrition programs, Jim called on PDA to help. We won that fight, but we still have a lot of work to do.
As Jim explains: "There is not a city or town in America that is hunger free. Those who rely on the food bank defy stereotypes–some are homeless, some are unemployed and many work, but earn so little they still struggle to put food on the table. Especially now–after this disappointing election–we all must double our efforts and provide support and protection for the most vulnerable." Please help support Monte’s March by making a contribution.
Help PDA make needed progress on Healthcare Not Warfare. Please join us as we mark the 10th anniversary and relaunch the Healthcare Not Warfare Campaign that is more necessary than ever leading into the Trump-Pence regime. We are planning to hold HNW vigils and other events across the country on Saturday, December 10th, 2016 International Human Rights Day. Please contact Mike Fox to help organize a vigil.
Join us for an organizing call this Saturday November 26 at 4pm ET / 1pm PT
Dial-in Number: (712)-775-7035 / Access Code: 124469#
Please RSVP to Mike Fox and include any questions you have about the vigils
